We are English but have worked and lived in France for the last 34 years. Previously worked in Sydney for 9 years. David is 71 and a member of Golf International de Grenoble, and Mabel 70 is a member of Golf de Grenoble-Uriage, we enjoy playing golf at an average club level, handicaps 20 and 35. Our home courses are 5 minutes away . But within an hours drive we have access to about 10 others.
We are experienced home exchangers, having exchanged in Ireland, England (3 times), Italy and Australia.
We are situated in a quiet village in the French Alps but with close motorway, air and rail links to all European capitals.
Museums, Art galleries, designer boutiques and historical tours in Grenoble and Lyon, the gastronomic capital of France. Marvellous opportunities to walk in the Alpine scenery, easy walks in the foothills or more energetic walking in the mountains. There are beautiful lakes at Annecy, Chambery and Geneva, wine tasting in the Savoie, the Beaujolais, the Burgundy or the Rhone Valley. Roman ruins at Vienne and Lyon or further afield at Avignon and Orange or Nimes.
